Jane Simpson is known for her material explorations of domestic objects, often re-casting them in ceramic, porcelain, Tupperware, rubber, and ice, by attaching sculptures to refrigeration units.
Associated with the Young British Artists in the UK including Damien Hirst and Tracey Emin, Simpson was included in legendary exhibitions such as Sensation, Royal Academy (1997) and Some Went Mad, Some Ran Away, Serpentine Gallery (1994).
Fresh, fresher was produced in 2002 by Other Criteria following an exhibition of the same title at Gagosian, London (2001).
