‘The work and life of Jack Goldstein are now legendary. The mystery of his own disappearance as an artist has remained unsolved, the reports and anecdotes offered by third parties only making the circumstances more unsure…’ — Susanne Gaensheimer
Jack Goldstein (1945-2003) was a Canadian conceptual artist, painter and performer and true artist’s artist. This comprehensive publication was produced on the occasion of the artist’s major exhibition at MMK Frankfurt in 2009.
The book includes many illustrations of rarely-seen works, an interview with Goldstein from 1985 by Chris Dercon, and essays by Klaus Goerner, Chrissie Iles and Shepherd Steiner.
